The social sciences are a group of academic disciplines that study human aspects of society, behavior, and environment, with an emphasis on the use of the scientific method. At MCC, you can take courses in eight separate but interrelated areas: anthropology, economics, geography, history, political science, psychology, sociology, and women's studies.
Where will your social science education take you?
The answer is – everywhere. Not just to your Associate’s degree or to your next college, but around the corner and around the world. Social science can take you on a journey of exploration – one that leads to a deeper understanding and appreciation of humankind in all its rich variety.
